We are square in the middle of an evolutionary process for humanity but not the way you might think.

Week 3: Mindfulness Explained

What is Mindfulness & why is everything have its name attached? 

We will address Mindfulness versus Meditation. 
 
Meditation does not have to elude you. It is not hard, it is YOUR practice. Make it yours. It shouldn’t be something you HAVE to do. It shouldn’t be monotonous.

Week 4: Chakras Are Our Friend

Chakras are non-physical energy centers that help transform and maintain our physical, mental and spiritual life forces. 
 
The word chakra is an ancient Sanskirt term that means "wheel of light".
 
Consider the possibility that there is a higher source to our existence. These chakras are part of the connection to that "greater force"
 
The chakras do not themselves contain what scientists call energy. They are vibrational and frequency that are pure light.

Understanding Self-Love, Self-Care & Self Mastery. 
 
Stepping into Mindfulness practice is like opening the front door to a huge mansion with many rooms with glass door entries but your view is blocked by dirty panes. 
 
The mindfulness practice allows us to see from the foyer, all the pathways and doors to open and explore, but we must first enter the main corridor and take the steps. 
 
We will cover the foundational areas of self that are a precious gift to give yourself but also necessary to gain the shift that changes everything. 
 
As once, this perspective is understood the windows of the mansion doors are washed clear with understanding and access is granted.

Week 7: Self-Love

In this week's session we look at how many of us have the limiting belief that caring for oneself is selfish. Just the opposite is the truth. Only healing and expansion comes with understanding self-love.

Week 9: Self-Awareness

In this week's session, we look at Self-Awareness as a tool to understanding your inner and outer world. 
 
How Self-Awareness and Mindfulness are like two sides to the same coin. Getting in touch with the inner knowing and inner dialogue of awareness.

Week 10: Self-Mastery

This is a powerful achievement but few actually get there. 
 
It is not impossible nor should it be really considered a destination. It is more of an intention. 
 
With each daily thought, mindful training, promise to self that is kept, meditation practiced, guidelines acknowledged, area that you have stretched yourself and others that you limit yourself...you will understand the mastery of you.

Month 4: Sweet Emotions & Savory Contrast

Navigate your feelings through a deliberate exploration and understand how to use them as a tool.
 
We look at how our emotions are an extraordinary tool for directing our attention and intentions. 
 
In month 4, our focus is understanding emotion, where we want to be and how to use the contrast to get us there. 
 
We will address love and fear and limiting beliefs around them. Tapping into the feeling of the emotion at a deeper level and really bringing awareness to the core of the manifestation of that emotion. 
 
We will address how often emotions are sparks by an external source that is being dripped into the subconscious and how to deal with it. 
 
Through this process of understanding, we become keepers of our own emotional system and use it for the tool that it is. 
 
The yoyo of highs and lows begin to be smoothed out to a joyful and equanimous state of well-being.  

Week 11: Emotional Roller Coaster

In this week's session we say bye-bye to that emotional roller coaster of highs and lows and look at the emotional scale. 
 
Seeing emotions for what they truly are, markers and guideposts to our optimal well-being.

Week 12: Contrast & Empathy

How many times do you find yourself in conflict with your emotions? 
 
Pushing against the anger, the grief, the loneliness, disappointment, jealousy and more only to find it again and again. 
 
This week we will address the great teacher of contrast and how to understand when you are feeling the feelings of others.

Week 13: Humor or Hurtful

"I was just kidding." How many times have you heard that one? 
 
Depending on the type of humor, the energy of the emotion that it creates, can be harmful for the individual and those on the receiving end. 
 
One of my best friends has a beautiful sense of humor but it used to be self-deprecating. 
 
Who does that harm? 
 
Have you ever heard someone say, that someone has a wicked sense of humor? 
 
It would be defined as being distasteful but in today's world, words like "sick" mean good. 
 
Let's explore the words, the intent and how humor affects us.

Week 14: Fear Versus Love

Consider that there are only two main categories of emotion. Love and Fear. Either your hand is open or closed. Your heart is accepting or not. 
 
This week our focus is on releasing all the emotions associated with fear in our physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. Allowing for the vibration of LOVE to reign supreme.

Month 5: Relationship is All the Rage!

Identify patterns of limiting beliefs and feelings of lack that drive you to experience unhealthy unions. 

Relationship is one of the main points of life but why do so many end in wrath? 
 
The line “You complete me.” for those of you who have seen the movie Jerry Maguire, was a repeated mantra of individuals seeking love relationship. And it set relationships up for ultimate failure or misery. 
 
Why? Let’s discuss. 
 
We look at the common denominator of relationships and why we seek them. 
 
In month 5 we will discuss the conscious expansive approach to relationships and how to protect yourself from falling into the trap of old beliefs with those we seek to partner. 

Week 15: You Complete Me

A reason, a season or a lifetime. I am sure you have heard this saying about relationships. And I agree. But we humans sure do like attachment. 
 
We like forever, ownership, and control even at the cost of everyone's happiness. 
 
This week our topic is the painful approach to relationships when one looks to fill a void.

Week 16: Are You Leaning In?

Navigating relationship is the level up to understanding yourself at a deeper level, which is not a contradiction. :) 
 
Once you have strengthened your inner awareness and explored self, then it is time to explore self in the context of a relationship. 
 
However, most people have never gone through the foundation-al process of self-discovery first and find themselves in a relationship from a lack position. 
 
This week we explore the purpose of relationship from a deliberate creation reference point and how to honor your individual path within its framework.

Week 17: My Best Relationship

The most powerful relationship you can have is the one you have with yourself. 
 
Having a love affair with yourself and taking the time to understand the shadowy places, within your psyche, that need to be gently healed, allows you to navigate your world from a place of strength and awareness. 
 
This offers you a beautiful stage for your next co-star.

Week 18: How Karma Plays a Role in Relationships

Have you ever noticed that some relationships seem "meant to be". Others have to be worked at again and again. 
 
Some are smooth as silk and others are as tumultuous as the fury of a tornado. 
 
This week we discuss karmic relationships and how to pinpoint and navigate them.

Month 6: Routine, Rituals and Rite on!

Discover practices to implement that will assist with positively reinforcing your mindfulness practice. 

We have been taught as children that certain personal routines are beneficial like brushing our teeth, showering and making our beds. 
 
We understand their value and they become second nature. 
 
In month 6 we expand this ideas with a brush stroke of mindful awareness.
 
We will address new rituals such as morning routines that set the stage for a healthy day, the evening slide to slumber, honoring the full and new moons cycles and becoming aware of cycles of the seasons that hold extraordinary value in your mindfulness journey.  

Week 19: Mindful Morning

Scientific study indicates the most spiritual time of day is early morning. 
 
It used to be called the witching hour because there was more spirit activity during this time. Maybe due to the lack of human and electronic interference. 
 
However, between 3-5 am is apparently when the veil between the realms is the thinnest. 
 
If you begin automatically waking up during these hours, congratulations my friend you are embarking on a beautiful spiritual journey. 
 
But even if your morning starts at 6 or 7 am, this time is a great routine to set for yourself in mindfulness practice.

Week 20: Evening Enlightenment

Honoring the evening just before sleep will help you not only sleep better, assist in your deliberate creation of the life you desire but also clear away the static to access the dream state for your ongoing healing and expansion. 
 
Learn a couple of nighttime Rituals that will help you on your mindfulness journey to slumber-land.

Week 21: Cycles & Seasons

One of the most rewarding aspects to my journey has been to add the honoring of the moon cycles and the seasons to my deliberate mindfulness practice. 
 
The insight that it has provided is extremely valuable. 
 
You may take it as deep as you like and incorporate it as more pf a ceremony or rite with intention or as simply as stopping for a moment to acknowledge the wonder. 
 
This week we will discuss aspects of these cycles to assist you on your journey.

Week 22: Mystic & Sage

Smudging is a Native America tradition for clearing away negative energy. 
 
Just as you would clean your clothes and your home, so must you clear the subtle energy that resides in your environment and that includes you. 
 
Energy lingers and that stuck feeling or icky residue after an argument will hang out to impact you long after you have made up. 
 
This week we discuss how and why to use a sage ceremony.

Delve into the understanding of lack and learn to shed the shackles that keep you from abundance. 

Prosperity. She is pursued like a yummy treat when you are on a diet for most. 
 
Why does abundance elude so many? 
 
We will look at limiting beliefs, attachment, karma and more in month 7 when we celebrate the beautiful energy of money. 
 
We will even address the resistance that is felt by many by the very statement of saying “beautiful energy of money.” 
 
And for those who do not experience lack we will expand your channel that allows for more flow in this area of your life and provide a meditation tool for manifesting more. 

Week 23: Money, Energy & Exchange

"Money doesn't grow on trees" or does it? 
 
There are so many limiting beliefs around money and exchange of services that often people get stuck in the lack mentality. 
 
Focusing more and more on what is not created in the reality called your life. 
 
This week we discuss these limiting patterns and gain a new perspective of how to wrap your mindfulness around prosperity.

Week 24: Karma and Money

Why is it that some people sneeze and make a $1,000 and others struggle to make ends meet? 
 
It could be karma and life contracts. 
 
Consider that you choose to be reincarnated on this earthly plane and you chose certain lessons that you wanted to learn to continue to grow, expand and better know yourself. 
 
Can it be changed? 
 
Let's explore ways you can clear karma around lack.

These fun crafty projects are a great way to play and expand your ideas of what you want to bring into your reality.

This week we release the restriction of limits of what you believe to be true to connect you to the magical world of signs.

Week 29: Intention, Awareness & the Driver's Seat

You are in complete control to navigate this expanded version of yourself and you have signs and tools to help you. 
 
You just may not be aware that they represent such help. From your dreams, meditation, intuition and astrology. 
 
You are never not in control. So, take responsible knowing you have these inner senses to help. 
 
You would not drive your car in the middle of a violent neighborhood with no gas and no cell phone. 
 
Understand the power of your intention and the cosmic influence that helps guide your life.

Week 30: Spirit Week, Not Spirit Weak

Connecting to spirit is not a form of weakness but rather a cord of strength that provides us "mere humans" with a lifeline of communication. 
 
I quote the term "mere human" because there is nothing farther from the truth. 
 
We are not insignificant but rather warriors of Light. 
 
We chose to blind ourselves from the truth of our greatness to expand our awareness, using fragments of personality to play out scenarios, for self-understanding and uniting with Source, God, Creator, The Divine, Universe, and Spirit. 
 
There is no death. Only life and life. And a lot of it!

What do you do when you want to start to unwind? 
 
Do you loosen your shoes so that you can release your feet from the constricting footwear? 
 
This is the analogy that I use for your spirit. 
 
In month 9 we look at ways to allow your spirit room to expand and experience inner senses that our clamped down restrictive nature does not currently allow unless you are sleeping. 
 
We will explore words like flexibility, freedom and allowance and affirm this through guided meditation and concepts to broaden understanding of how our limited knowledge puts blinders on our experience. 

Week 31: Dance & Sing

When was the last time you allowed yourself to let loose and dance and sing? 
 
This week we explore the expanding benefits of kicking up your heels and belting out a tune.

Week 32: Dreams & Meditations

Dream state is a beautiful time to deliberately orchestrate your expansion. 
 
Setting your intentions prior to sleep and meditations and releasing attachment to outcome is a powerful recipe. 
 
It allows your spirit the freedom to explore and bring back knowledge of what was once unknown to the conscious mind.

Week 33: Let Go of the Reins

Some find comfort in "being in control" as a way to feel safe. 
 
However, when you truly understand the nature of reality and your purpose, you understand how limiting this tactic is for your growth and expansion. 
 
Clamping down with limits and controlled boundaries does not allow you to explore your greatness. 
 
We will explore ways to practice letting go.

Week 34: There is More to Nature than Meets the Eye

This week we play. Using the tool of play and imagination to provide your spirit some freedom and flexibility. 
 
We will use nature as the stage for this imaginative scene and access an area of the psyche that you may not have reached in a while.

Month 10: Your Masks of Trickery are No Treat

Explore the many facets of your personality that hide your authentic self behind a two-way mirror.

In month 10 we address the sorted masks we wear in an effort to protect ourselves from showing our vulnerability which leads to anxiety and suffering. 
 
What disguises do you wear and when? 
 
The good girl mask, the perfect daughter or son disguise, the expert, the cool friend, the jokester, the perfectionist, the jerk, the Romeo, stronger and/or smarter than everyone persona? 
 
How about the one you wear with your family versus your coworkers versus your friends. Are they different? 
 
Let’s get transparent this month and wash off the makeup, take off the wig, put down the weights and forget about the car you drive and allow the freedom of authenticity to show the way to your peace and well-being.  

Week 35: The Good Girl

This role may have come to you by early childhood programming when a parent would reward you for being a "Good Girl" or "Good Boy." 
 
Just as we train our animals with treats and a pat on the head some of us have learned to please as a way to fill a void of self-love and to hide insecurities. 
 
Leave your mask at the door and step into your transparency.

Week 36: The Name Dropper

You have experience the name dropper and you may be one yourself.
 
This is not for the purpose of calling anyone out on their mask, it is an opportunity for you have a perspective that may be new. 
 
Why might someone drop names of perceived important people? 
 
To impress? 
 
To give themselves a leg up in a conversation? 
 
To hide behind someone that they perceive is more valuable in some way than they are? 
 
Let's explore. Leave your mask at the door and step into your transparency.

While picking lemons from the multiple fruit trees I have in my backyard, I found my hands and arms scratched and bleeding as I navigated reaching the ripe lemons through the thorns and branches of the tree. 
 
I began to think about how in life we have these kinds of barriers, contrast and hurdles to our success that often leave us just shy of success because we do not go the distance. 
 
In month 11 we will explore how to soften the barriers that are presented to our optimal success.

They may even tell you. "I'm not cocky, I'm just confident." 
 
But they might be masquerading confidence and hiding some deep levels of self-doubt. 
 
Until you connect - really connect with who you are at a soul level, you will not understand your self-worth and connection in the Universe.

We enjoyed waiting all year long to find out what the focus of the last month would bring.  The freedom to reach out to the MindfulLee community to choose the last two weeks of the program's topics brought us to yummy discussion points.

As we wind up the last two sessions of A Year of Living MindfulLee, we will be addressing two strong topics to wrap up the experience.  This week we will be looking at Truth & Faith and how our beliefs can sometimes keep us locked up in a restrictive way.  Meaning, if we do not allow room in our awareness for being open to possibilities, we do not expand.
